About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis
- Perform incident correlation, fault analysis, and root cause isolation
- Diagnose and troubleshoot network elements including systems, hardware, software, and circuits
- Correct or replace faulty network elements and coordinate with service providers
- Restore networks and services to full operation and conduct rerouting of services
- Manage incident escalation between Tier I and Tier II levels
- Provide technical advice and situational awareness to leadership and customers
- Maintain and update tickets and configuration management databases (CMDB)
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship
- Active, in-scope US Government Secret clearance
- 2+ years of relevant technical experience
- Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
- Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
- Proficiency with routers, switches, crypto devices, or routing protocols
- General understanding of transport and IP network topologies
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work 24/7 rotating shifts and travel up to 10%
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military experience or government contracting experience
- Network+, CCNA, CCENT, JNCIA, or CCNP certifications
