NOC Technician

Responsibilities

• Monitor network events and element management failures in real-time on a 24x7x365 basis
• Perform incident correlation, fault analysis, and root cause isolation
• Diagnose and troubleshoot network elements including systems, hardware, software, and circuits
• Correct or replace faulty network elements and coordinate with service providers
• Restore networks and services to full operation and conduct rerouting of services
• Manage incident escalation between Tier I and Tier II levels
• Provide technical advice and situational awareness to leadership and customers
• Maintain and update tickets and configuration management databases (CMDB)

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship
• Active, in-scope US Government Secret clearance
• 2+ years of relevant technical experience
• Current DoD-8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
• Experience with alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, or performance management
• Expertise in routers, switches, crypto devices, routing, or optical switching
• General understanding of transport and IP network topologies
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work in a 24/7 shift environment and travel up to 10%

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior military experience or government contracting experience
• Network+, CCNA, CCENT, JNCIA, or CCNP certifications
