About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor the network for events and anomalies to prevent disruptions to the customer experience
- Lead triage efforts to restore customer services and mitigate future outages
- Act as a point of contact for Enterprise customers via IVR and email communication
- Coordinate the dispatch of internet field support resources and provide remote support
- Perform 24/7 network monitoring of device fault events and network health dashboards
- Acknowledge and manually validate network alarms using ping and trace routes
- Create and manage tickets for enterprise customers, network outages, and change management
- Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis for wireless, fiber, and network aggregation incidents
- Maintain approved software revisions for wireless access devices, fiber access devices, and managed CPE
- Document common tasks, procedures, and change management MOP documentation
Requirements
- Experience or education in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- Working understanding of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VPLS, DWDM, SONET, GPON, and Active E fiber networks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to interact professionally with customers
- Ability to work with a sense of urgency and multi-task across different projects
- Strong attention to detail
