About the role
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all network release and restoral activities for maintenance and technical projects across Flight Information Regions (FIRs).
- Monitor network performance proactively, analyze performance indicators, and prepare trend reports.
- Manage network corrective maintenance by evaluating problem impacts and establishing restoration priorities.
- Coordinate contracted maintenance activities with external agencies and telecommunications providers.
- Monitor operational systems including power, weather, routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Perform initial triage on cybersecurity events and push configurations to networking devices.
- Support service management activities including incident, change, and escalation management.
- Participate in safety and quality program activities, audits, and site inspections.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma and completion of an acceptable training program in electronics technology or an approved alternative.
- Proven experience in telecommunications.
- Proven experience in networking.
- Bilingualism in English and French is required.
- Ability to work onsite in Ottawa, including 24-hour shift coverage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of radar, navigation, communication, and security systems used in air traffic services.
- Experience with service management tools and supplier portals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
