Night Transportation Clerk

Responsibilities

• Gather, organize, and process driver daily paperwork, including logs, manifests, and vehicle inspections
• Answer phones, route calls, and take messages
• Research operational challenges and order necessary supplies
• Act as a liaison between the office and operations teams
• Respond to delivery associate issues and provide support for resolution
• Process inbound freight paperwork weekly and serve as the primary contact for inbound freight issues
• Run daily reports for operations supervisors, such as vehicle tracking and observations

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Valid driver's license with a record meeting company insurability standards
• Proficiency in Windows operating system, Excel, and Word
• Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years of prior customer service experience
• 2 years of distribution or transportation experience in a high-volume, route delivery operation
