About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead an area of hourly production employees while driving safety, quality, productivity, and machine performance
- Provide leadership, coaching, and resources to ensure team success and accountability to company standards
- Monitor departmental KPIs, identify gaps, and work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement
- Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work environment adhering to ESH, Quality, and ISO requirements
- Manage daily production execution, material flow, inventory, and scheduling
- Identify and respond to machine, process, and quality issues through proper escalation and corrective actions
- Ensure employees are properly trained and qualified through instructional programs and skill development
- Lead and participate in operational excellence activities including Kaizen, TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR HS Diploma/GED with 6+ years of manufacturing experience
- 2+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced production environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and move around for extended periods
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50+ pounds
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies
