NICU Specialist

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized medical care to critically ill newborn babies in the NICU
• Monitor and manage the ventilation of premature and sick infants
• Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols
• Communicate with parents to keep them informed of their baby's progress
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement patient care
• Participate in the development and implementation of best practices for NICU care
• Train and supervise junior medical staff and the nursing team
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a NICU setting
• Extensive experience in ventilation management
• Western education or training
• Advanced knowledge and skills in neonatal medicine and procedures
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety
