Newscast Producer

Responsibilities

• Pitch compelling stories using natural curiosity and creative storytelling skills
• Craft stories of various lengths for multiple platforms to engage specific audiences
• Combine live pictures, graphics, video, and sound to create engaging newscast experiences
• Meet daily deadlines and provide continuous coverage for live streams during breaking news
• Use data analytics to help shape show content and improve audience engagement
• Ensure diverse communities and viewpoints are represented in every rundown
• Challenge traditional news methods and experiment with new storytelling techniques

Requirements

• 1-3 years of news content experience
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in journalism, communications, or a related field
• Strong journalistic judgment with an emphasis on accuracy, fairness, and community engagement
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under intense time pressure
• Proficiency in social media and an active news-focused digital presence
• Ability to remain calm and effective during live, breaking news situations
• Experience with ENPS or Edius systems is preferred
