About the role
Responsibilities
- Direct broadcast newscasts and provide creative input to the production crew
- Manage all technical aspects of live production, including calling and punching newscasts
- Ensure clean technical execution of the newscast visual look
- Collaborate with Producers, Technical Directors, Audio Operators, and Engineering
- Post content to the station website
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience directing and technical directing newscasts
- Proficiency with production switchers, video servers, and audio/studio equipment
- Understanding of MOS, basic computer networking, and video playback systems
- Knowledge of newsroom systems such as ENPS
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during live news broadcasts
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends
- Ability to work onsite in Albuquerque, NM
