About the role
Responsibilities
- Efficiently operate ENG cameras and equipment, including TVU, microwave, and satellite technology
- Edit video in the field and in-house for newscasts under tight deadlines
- Perform nonlinear editing using Adobe Premiere for PKGs, VOs, VOSOTs, and other newscast elements
- Collaborate with reporters, anchors, producers, and managers to produce high-quality stories
- Maintain news archives and ensure proper storage and organization of media files
- Take in ENG and SNG feeds and manage multiple editing assignments simultaneously
Requirements
- Professional experience with nonlinear editing software, specifically Adobe Premiere
- Ability to operate ENG cameras and related production equipment
- Ability to carry up to 50 pounds
- Valid driver's license and a good driving record
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment with strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA licensed drone pilot
- Military training from the Defense Information School (DINFOS)
- Experience with Final Cut Pro, Avid, or Edius
- Some college or technical school education
