News Producer-Morning

Responsibilities

• Lead daily production for assigned morning newscasts, managing story selection and editorial decisions from inception to final delivery
• Write, edit, and produce engaging stories and segments for broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms
• Coordinate coverage with directors, assignment desks, editors, on-air staff, and field crews to manage live shots and visuals
• Drive digital integration by collaborating with news teams to ensure content reaches audiences across all platforms
• Participate in daily news and production meetings to help shape newsroom coverage strategies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in a medium-to-large market news environment
• Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment skills
• Proficiency with newsroom computer systems, live production tools, and non-linear editing
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and breaking news coverage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience producing content for multi-platform delivery (broadcast and digital)
• Proven ability to maintain composure and make sound decisions under tight deadlines
