News Editor

Responsibilities

• Use editing tools to create content for Newscast and Digital platforms
• Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media to enhance stories
• Work closely with news producers, reporters, photojournalists, and the digital team
• Create captivating and shareable content for television, social media, and mobile platforms

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred
• Knowledge of non-linear editing systems using Edius, Premiere, and Photoshop
• Interest in broadcast and digital news content
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under deadline pressure
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work early mornings, nights, and weekends
