News Anchor

Responsibilities

• Use editorial judgment to help determine the content of newscasts
• Work with producers and the newsroom team to create unique, fast-paced, and innovative newscasts
• Develop, write, shoot, and edit news stories for on-air broadcasting, mobile, and social platforms
• Use social media and social listening to identify big stories and develop original content
• Write and post daily content across all digital platforms, including social media and the web
• Interview news subjects and conduct research to ensure facts and credibility
• Deliver on-air news events in an engaging, exciting, and accurate manner
• Use creative production techniques, such as graphics and new media, to enhance storytelling

Requirements

• Minimum 1-3 years of news anchor or reporting experience
• Proven ability to develop story ideas and enterprise news stories
• Strong on-air presentation and communication skills
• Proficiency in video shooting and editing using the latest tools
• Experience with social media content creation and digital platform management
• Ability to write in an exciting, captivating, and authentic manner
• Journalism or Communication degree preferred
