New Graduate RN

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective delivery of chronic hemodialysis therapy to patients in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
• Assess daily patient care needs, develop care assignments, and delegate tasks to Patient Care Technicians and other direct care staff
• Educate patients and their families regarding End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD), vascular access, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication compliance
• Monitor patient responses to treatment, implement physician-prescribed treatment plans, and make appropriate adjustments as indicated
• Perform nursing assessments, including initial and annual evaluations, and maintain accurate documentation in the Medical Information System
• Manage laboratory-related tasks, including reviewing physician orders, ensuring correct specimen collection, and reporting abnormal results to physicians
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment environment and ensure competency in the operation of dialysis-related equipment

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months
• Ability to obtain a nursing license and registration within 90 days of hire (or per state regulations)
• Possession of a current state Temporary Permit
• Must meet all state practice requirements for the location of employment
