New Graduate RN

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective hemodialysis therapy to patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
• Assess patient care needs, develop assignments, and delegate tasks to Patient Care Technicians and other support staff
• Educate patients and families regarding renal disease, vascular access, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication compliance
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and make appropriate adjustments to treatment plans in coordination with physicians
• Perform nursing assessments, initiate treatments, and manage access homeostasis
• Ensure accurate documentation of patient data, physician orders, and lab results in the Medical Information System
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment environment and ensure competency in dialysis equipment operation

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months
• Ability to obtain a nursing license and registration within 90 days of hire (or per state regulations)
• Possession of a current state Temporary Permit
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and patient movement, including assisting with ambulation
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment requiring multitasking and flexibility
