New Graduate Nurse

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective hemodialysis care to patients with End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD)
• Assess patient needs, develop care assignments, and monitor patient care staff for adherence to facility policies
• Educate patients and families regarding renal disease, vascular access, dialysis therapy, diet, and medication compliance
• Implement and monitor treatment prescriptions, making appropriate adjustments to treatment plans as directed by physicians
• Manage laboratory-related tasks, including reviewing orders, ensuring correct specimen collection, and reporting abnormal results
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, including nursing assessments, treatment sheets, and progress notes
• Ensure a clean, safe, and sanitary treatment environment and maintain competency with dialysis equipment

Requirements

• Graduated from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months
• Ability to obtain nursing license/registration within 90 days of hire (or per state regulations)
• Possession of a current state Temporary Permit
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with patient movement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment requiring multitasking and flexibility
