About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the agreed-upon new business plan in alignment with regional financial goals
  • Develop comprehensive business development strategies in collaboration with regional sales leaders
  • Leverage advanced analytics and Salesforce to prioritize opportunities and identify multi-segment prospects
  • Utilize a team-selling approach to address unique prospect concerns and shorten sales cycles
  • Coordinate the proposal process for local contracts to meet client objectives
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with brokers, distributors, and foodservice industry peers
  • Monitor market trends and the competitive landscape to position Sysco effectively
  • Ensure all prospect account data and activities are accurately managed within the Salesforce platform

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of B2B professional sales experience
  • 2+ years of proven track record in new business development
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to derive insights from data
  • Financial acumen, including understanding profit and loss, food costs, and expense ratios
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent consultative selling, networking, and negotiation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent educational level
  • Experience using proprietary CRM tools for sales forecasting and planning
