About the role

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the agreed-upon new business plan in alignment with regional financial goals
  • Develop comprehensive business development strategies in collaboration with regional sales leaders
  • Leverage advanced analytics and the Salesforce platform to prioritize opportunities and lead generation
  • Utilize a team-selling approach to engage cross-functional teams and meet prospect needs
  • Coordinate the proposal process for local contracts to address client objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, distributors, and foodservice industry peers
  • Manage and accurately enter prospect account data within the Salesforce platform
  • Identify opportunities for additional services and distribution avenues to increase sales

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of relevant B2B professional sales experience
  • 2+ years of proven track record in new business development
  • Strong analytical problem-solving skills and ability to derive insights from data
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and meet strict deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent educational level
  • Experience with consultative selling and managing sophisticated customers
  • Strong financial acumen, including understanding profit and loss and food cost ratios
