Responsibilities

• Represent the company during all phases of vessel construction to ensure compliance with contractual specifications and technical standards
• Monitor project progress against construction schedules and identify delivery risks
• Coordinate with shipyard management, subcontractors, and equipment suppliers
• Review and verify steel construction, hull fabrication, machinery installation, piping, and electrical systems
• Conduct regular inspections and witness factory acceptance tests (FAT), harbour acceptance tests (HAT), and sea trials
• Verify compliance with Classification Society rules and statutory requirements
• Identify construction deficiencies and maintain punch lists for timely rectification
• Prepare regular progress reports for management and monitor technical deviations from contract specifications

Requirements

• Degree in Naval Architecture or Mechanical Engineering, or experience as a Class C Engineer
• At least 1 year of experience in New Building (NB) projects
• Fluency in English
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and attention to detail skills
• Availability to relocate to China as an expatriate for 18 to 36 months
