Neurosurgery Registrar

Responsibilities

• Deliver registrar-level neurosurgical care across elective and emergency settings
• Participate in theatre sessions, assisting with and performing neurosurgical procedures
• Provide inpatient care, including ward rounds, patient reviews, and multidisciplinary discussions
• Support the on-call rota, covering emergency admissions, acute referrals, and ward issues
• Supervise and support junior colleagues
• Ensure high standards of clinical governance and patient safety

Requirements

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise
• Significant UK NHS experience as a Neurosurgery Registrar
• Competence in managing neurosurgical patients in elective and emergency settings
• Up-to-date DBS clearance
• Right to Work in the UK documentation
• Two recent clinical references
