Responsibilities
- Perform neurologic history, physical exams, and neurodiagnostic tests with a focus on multiple sclerosis
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments for neurologic disorders
- Monitor side effects of high-efficacy disease-modifying therapies
- Counsel patients and caregivers on neurologic diagnoses
- Coordinate patient care with primary care and other medical specialists
- Respond to urgent and emergent situations in person or via phone
- Participate in neuroscience research
- Lead the neurologic care team, including staff and advanced practice providers
Requirements
- Completed three-year residency in a US ACGME accredited neurology program
- Successful completion of the USMLE
- One- or two-year neurology fellowship in an applicable subspecialty
- ABPN Board-certified (or Board-eligible within two years of training completion)
- Current medical license and eligibility for new state licenses
- Current federal DEA license
