Since its founding in 2004, Central Texas Neurology Consultants (CTNC) has been providing innovative, advanced care for patients and families with a wide range of brain, spine, nerve and muscle disease. Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage MS patients and general neurology patients
- Perform neurologic history, physical exams, and neurodiagnostic tests
- Order and interpret neurologic tests including EEG, EMG, and neuroimaging (CT, MRI, PET)
- Prescribe and administer medications and infusion therapies for neurologic disorders
- Monitor treatment side effects and patient response to high-efficacy disease-modifying therapies
- Counsel patients and caregivers on neurologic diagnoses
- Coordinate care with primary care physicians and other medical specialists
- Document patient healthcare journeys and respond to urgent/emergent situations
- Participate in neuroscience research and lifelong learning
- Lead the neurologic care team, including staff and advanced practice providers
Requirements
- Completed three-year residency in a US ACGME accredited neurology program
- Successful completion of the USMLE
- One- or two-year neurology fellowship in multiple sclerosis
- ABPN Board-certified (or Board-eligible if within two years of training completion)
- Current medical license and eligibility for Utah medical license
- Current federal DEA license
