About the Company
The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Dr. Ruhoy to conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical, neurological, and environmental histories
- Develop differential diagnoses and individualized treatment plans
- Manage patients with chronic and complex neurological conditions
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies
- Perform extensive chart reviews and synthesize outside medical records and imaging
- Coordinate multidisciplinary care across neurology, rheumatology, genetics, and other specialties
- Support the development of strategic clinical initiatives and specialty care pathways
- Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle interventions
- Perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, IV insertion, and EKG acquisition
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
Requirements
- Current New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
- Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience as a practicing NP or PA
- Experience in Neurology, Neuroimmunology, Rheumatology, or related fields
- Experience caring for patients with complex chronic illnesses and multisystem disorders
- BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Dysautonomia/POTS, or Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS)
- Experience with Autoimmune neurological disorders, Long COVID, or ME/CFS
- Experience in multidisciplinary specialty care environments
- Background in environmental medicine, toxicology, or functional medicine
- Clinical research or academic medicine experience
