About the role

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Director of Neuroimmune and Connective Tissue Neurology to conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop differential diagnoses.
  • Manage patients with chronic and complex neurological, neuroimmune, and multisystem disorders.
  • Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studies within scope of practice.
  • Perform extensive chart reviews and synthesize complex medical records, imaging, and specialist evaluations.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary care across specialties such as rheumatology, genetics, immunology, and cardiology.
  • Support the development of strategic clinical initiatives, specialty care pathways, and scalable workflows.
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and lifestyle interventions.
  • Perform clinical procedures including phlebotomy, IV insertion, and EKG acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records and ensure regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Current New York State Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of clinical experience as a practicing NP or PA.
  • Demonstrated experience caring for patients with complex chronic illnesses and multisystem disorders.
  • Strong ability to review, interpret, and synthesize extensive medical records and diagnostic evaluations.
  • BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), Dysautonomia/POTS, or Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS).
  • Experience with autoimmune neurological disorders, Long COVID, or ME/CFS.
  • Background in neurology, neuroimmunology, rheumatology, or integrative medicine.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary specialty care environments or clinical research.
