Networking & Distributed Systems Researcher – Product Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as a lead product security engineer for new concepts across tactical mobile ad-hoc network protocols, sensor protocols, airborne network overlays, or network management technologies
• Mature concepts and software to prove the feasibility of new network and cyber security technologies
• Build secure prototypes to demonstrate capability and conduct test and evaluation in relevant environments
• Drive software execution to deliver products on-cost and on-schedule to programs
• Ensure software product security, safety, assurance, quality, and engineering excellence in alignment with PSO policies
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate security-by-design into distributed networking systems

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree
• Eligibility for a US Top Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required)
• 3+ years of network development experience (TCP/IP, UDP, sockets, HTTPS, REST interface)
• 3+ years of experience designing and developing software using Python, C/C++, C#, and/or Java
• 3+ years of experience with end-to-end network transport technologies, protocols, and diagnostic analysis
• 1+ years of experience with Linux Kernel architecture and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience leading projects and interfacing with customers to drive requirements
• Experience with developing hardware abstraction layer designs and firmware
• Experience with DevOps techniques
