About the role

Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain critical network engineering tools for Scotiabank’s global network
  • Plan, cost, configure, and implement network tool solutions across the global infrastructure
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, network assessments, and designs
  • Develop formal network analysis and business proposals, including detailed costing
  • Provide quick resolution to complex operational issues and troubleshooting requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers

Requirements

  • 4+ years of networking experience specifically focused on network tools and systems
  • Proficiency with network monitoring and performance tools such as ExtraHop, NetScout, NetBrain, Thousand Eyes, or SevOne
  • Experience with routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
  • B.Sc. in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related college diploma in networking technology
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-resolution skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP)
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Experience with design, deployment, and operations in large, complex networked environments
  • Knowledge of network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Visio
