Network Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform proactive network monitoring and provide first-level support for network incidents.
• Collaborate with Network Engineers and Cable Technicians on incident prevention and service restoration.
• Execute basic troubleshooting and escalate issues to the network team within established SLAs.
• Configure and replace faulty network equipment under the guidance of the Network Team.
• Participate in "buddy checks" for network engineers during night change windows.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), create daily pass-down reports, and update management systems.
• Provide occasional extended hours support during high-project seasons and site maintenance days.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in a Network Help Desk or Network Technician role.
• CCT, CCNA, or CompTIA A+ certification.
• Practical experience with VLANs, subnetting, IP addresses, Ethernet/fiber optic cables, and network tools (SSH, telnet, traceroute).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
• Ability to live within 1 hour of North Austin, TX to meet SLA requirements.
• Physical ability to lift equipment up to 40lbs and wear a cleanroom smock in semiconductor facilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in Korean and English.
• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Extensive experience with switch configuration and network troubleshooting.
