Network & Systems Engineer (Linux)

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support network infrastructure including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, and firewalls
• Manage and maintain Linux-based systems such as RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu
• Resolve incidents and service disruptions promptly to ensure minimal business impact
• Perform proactive monitoring and management of systems and networks to prevent issues
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive permanent fixes for recurring incidents
• Configure and maintain network security controls including VPNs, firewalls, and IDS/IPS
• Support cloud and hybrid environments using AWS or Azure
• Automate operational tasks using Bash or Python scripting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver infrastructure solutions

Requirements

• Strong experience in network engineering with Cisco, Juniper, or similar technologies
• Solid hands-on experience with Linux administration
• Proven experience in incident management, troubleshooting, and service restoration
• Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network security principles
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Nagios, Prometheus, or Splunk
• Proficiency in scripting with Bash or Python for automation
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS or Azure
• Understanding of ITIL practices including Incident, Problem, and Change Management
