About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor network and telecom infrastructure using Network Management Systems (NMS) and escalate alerts per SLAs.
- Provide L1 support for routers, switches, firewalls, wireless controllers, and access points.
- Perform hands & feet support, including cable tracing, patching, device reboots, and physical inspections.
- Support voice infrastructure including PBX, Voice Gateways, SIP, and dialer systems.
- Execute basic configurations and apply changes as directed by L2/L3 engineers.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including inventory reports, topology diagrams, and IP records.
- Adhere to ITIL processes for incident, request, and change management.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- Foundational knowledge of networking technologies including LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VLANs, and Routing & Switching.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, HP, or Aruba hardware.
- Understanding of firewalls and wireless infrastructure.
- Basic knowledge of Telecom and Voice infrastructure (PBX, SIP, PRI).
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and remote technical instructions.
- Strong communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts or on-call rotations.
