Network Specialist III

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical discovery with customers and stakeholders to design end-to-end IoT wireless network solutions.
• Design managed cellular router and modem configurations, including LAN/WAN, VPN/IPsec, and routing strategies.
• Build and maintain standardized modem and router configuration templates for enterprise deployments.
• Remotely diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Manage firmware lifecycles and coordinate with vendor technical support for device management.
• Provide technical guidance during customer onboarding and handle escalations related to managed modem services.

Requirements

• CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrating hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
• Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN and IPsec technologies in production environments.
• Real-world experience with industrial cellular routers or modems and remote management platforms.
• Strong understanding of routing, switching, NAT, firewall/ACL, DHCP, DNS, and subnetting.
• Experience with LTE/5G cellular networks and WAN/remote connectivity architectures.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or cloud networking certifications.
• Background in managed services or Industrial IoT (IIoT) networking.
• Experience with carrier and cellular network troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Digi International products or similar cloud-managed networking platforms.
