About the role
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical discovery with customers and stakeholders to design end-to-end IoT wireless network solutions.
- Design managed cellular router and modem configurations, including LAN/WAN, VPN/IPsec, and routing strategies.
- Build and maintain standardized modem and router configuration templates for enterprise deployments.
- Remotely diagnose and resolve complex connectivity issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Manage firmware lifecycles and coordinate with vendor technical support for device management.
- Provide technical guidance during customer onboarding and handle escalations related to managed modem services.
Requirements
- CCNA certification or equivalent demonstrating hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Practical experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN and IPsec technologies in production environments.
- Real-world experience with industrial cellular routers or modems and remote management platforms.
- Strong understanding of routing, switching, NAT, firewall/ACL, DHCP, DNS, and subnetting.
- Experience with LTE/5G cellular networks and WAN/remote connectivity architectures.
- Strong customer-facing communication skills to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional certifications such as CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or cloud networking certifications.
- Background in managed services or Industrial IoT (IIoT) networking.
- Experience with carrier and cellular network troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Digi International products or similar cloud-managed networking platforms.
