Network Specialist

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain network infrastructure components including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN systems
• Monitor network performance and availability using industry-standard tools and analyze metrics to proactively resolve issues
• Configure and manage network devices while ensuring accurate documentation of all configurations and changes
• Resolve network connectivity issues and provide efficient technical support
• Implement and maintain network security protocols, access controls, and compliance measures
• Plan and execute network upgrades, expansions, and technological renewals with minimal operational impact
• Collaborate with IT team members and other departments to support infrastructure projects
• Maintain detailed documentation of network topology, configurations, procedures, and disaster recovery plans
• Perform regular network audits and assessments to identify optimization opportunities
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging network technologies

Requirements

• 2-4 years of professional experience in network administration or IT infrastructure management
• Excellent knowledge of TCP/IP protocols and network architecture
• Experience with network monitoring software such as Nagios, Zabbix, or similar platforms
• Experience resolving connectivity issues via ServiceNow ticketing systems
• Hands-on experience with network diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls and VPNs
• Proven ability to analyze network performance data and optimize systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Vendor-specific certifications such as Cisco CCNA, Juniper, or Fortinet
• Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) practices
