About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage firewall policy hygiene, including rule recertification and cleanup
- Identify and remediate policies that violate established security standards
- Coordinate policy recertification and report on compliance
- Review, approve, and implement security change requests
- Respond to audit requests, findings, and necessary remediations
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Support network security through analysis of security and network traffic
- Ability to work during off-hours or weekends as required
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience with NGFW security technologies (Fortinet, CheckPoint, or Palo Alto)
- Experience with security policy analyzer tools such as Algosec, Tufin, or Firemon
- Knowledge of host-based security technologies
- Strong analytical skills for security policy and log analysis
- Experience with security policy and process audits
- Familiarity with scripting
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical certifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in the financial services industry
- Technical certifications related to NGFW vendors
- Basic understanding of SASE vendors (Netskope, Zscaler, Cato Networks, Cloudflare, etc.)
- Understanding of WAF technologies and load balancing
