Network Security Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Implement, manage, and operate security platforms including Akamai WAF/Prolexic, Cloudflare, and F5 WAF in both on-site and cloud environments.
• Lead the team responsible for managing technologies that protect the bank against Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks.
• Ensure the availability and continuity of mission-critical infrastructure by operating perimeter security platforms.
• Manage critical production incidents and change controls effectively.
• Analyze and implement network protection rules and policies in collaboration with Development and Infrastructure teams.
• Monitor operational health, including capacity, performance, compliance, and cyber resilience (hardening, backups, and high availability).
• Manage third-party vendors to ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and improved.
• Drive continuous improvement through automation, standardization, and optimization of policies to reduce MTTA/MTTR.
• Participate in the evaluation of new architectures and technological tenders.

Requirements

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Information Security, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in the operation of security technologies.
• Proficiency with Akamai WAF/Prolexic, Cloudflare, and F5 WAF.
• Knowledge of Networks, Telecommunications, and DNS.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate across different IT departments.
• Availability to work multiple shifts and travel between CDMX, Querétaro, and Monterrey.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in Akamai WAF/Prolexic, Cloudflare, or F5 WAF.
• Knowledge of Gigamon and Cisco technologies (switches and firewalls).
