Network & Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN solutions, including routers, switches, and wireless access points.
• Configure and manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco FTD) and VPN/SD-WAN technologies.
• Implement and manage security systems including IDS/IPS, NDR, WAF, and Load Balancers.
• Develop and enforce network security policies and ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001 or NIST.
• Act as the primary point of contact for network and security incidents, performing root cause analysis.
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and maintain detailed security logs and documentation.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or security roles.
• Proficiency with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco FTD.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
• Hands-on experience with routers, switches, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and WAF.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with strong communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud networks and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
• Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting.
• Knowledge of SDN (Cisco ACI) and NAC (Cisco ISE, Forescout, or Aruba).
• Relevant certifications such as CCNP, Palo Alto PCNSE, or Fortinet NSE.
• Familiarity with DNS Security (F5, Infoblox) and Email Security tools.
