Network & Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and maintain LAN/WAN solutions, including routers, switches, and wireless access points
• Configure and manage firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco) and implement IDS/IPS
• Manage VPN, SD-WAN, and other remote access technologies
• Develop and enforce network security policies and best practices
• Act as the primary point of contact for network and security-related incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Monitor network traffic for suspicious activities and maintain security logs
• Perform regular vulnerability assessments and assist with security audits

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in network engineering or security roles
• CCNA, JNCIA, or equivalent certification
• Strong proficiency in TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs
• Hands-on experience with firewall technologies (Palo Alto, Fortinet, or Cisco FTD)
• Experience with network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, or Wireshark

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripting
• Knowledge of cloud networks and hybrid environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
• Experience with Load Balancers/WAF (F5, Array) and NAC (Cisco ISE)
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, or NIST
