Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and implement network security solutions including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
• Manage security, load balancing, and routing/switching
• Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability tests
• Respond to security incidents and provide detailed analysis to mitigate impact
• Develop and enforce network security policies, procedures, and best practices
• Collaborate with IT teams to support secure network operations and troubleshoot issues
• Stay updated with cybersecurity trends and emerging threats

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in network security engineering
• Expertise in Checkpoint, Palo Alto Firewall, and ASA VPN
• 5+ years of expertise in F5 WAF, Load Balancing, and Reverse Proxy (APM, ASM, LTM)
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, and spanning-tree
• Ability to manage RFP processes
• CCNA, CCNP, or AWS certifications required
• Proficiency with SIEM systems and vulnerability scanners

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco CCNP Security, CompTIA Security+, or CISSP certifications
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks like PCI DSS, HIPAA, or ISO 27001
• Experience with Cisco ACI or DNA
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud network management
• Knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, and MS Office
• CCIE certification is a plus
