Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and configure next-generation firewalls (NGFW) including Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet FortiGate, and Cisco platforms
• Build and execute Proof-of-Concept (PoC) environments for prospective customers
• Develop High-Level Designs (HLDs), Low-Level Designs (LLDs), and project plans
• Perform firewall policy reviews, rule base optimisations, and security posture assessments
• Configure and manage site-to-site and remote access VPN solutions
• Implement network segmentation and micro-segmentation strategies
• Deploy and tune IPS, URL filtering, application control, and SSL inspection
• Integrate network security platforms with SIEM, SOAR, and log management infrastructure
• Support integration of SASE/SSE platforms like Zscaler or Netskope
• Provide post-deployment support and technical escalation

Requirements

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in network security or network engineering
• Deep practical expertise with Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco NGFW platforms
• Strong networking fundamentals including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, and QoS
• Hands-on experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
• Ability to develop HLDs, LLDs, and professional customer-facing documentation
• Must hold at least one of the following: PCNSE, CCNP Security, or Fortinet NSE 7/FCSS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) or Netskope
• Experience with Check Point firewalls
• Familiarity with NAC solutions like Forescout, Cisco ISE, or Aruba ClearPass
• Experience with SD-WAN platforms
• Exposure to cloud networking (Azure Virtual WAN, AWS Transit Gateway)
• Scripting experience using Python, Ansible, or REST APIs
