Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of perimeter security technologies across global data centers and cloud environments
• Design and implement advanced cybersecurity solutions to protect digital infrastructure and sensitive data
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential security threats
• Develop and implement incident response plans to mitigate cybersecurity incidents
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute cybersecurity strategies
• Proactively identify potential risks and propose technical solutions for seamless service delivery

Requirements

• 3 years of direct experience in Information Technology
• 2 years of experience in firewall, proxy, and network operations/installation
• 1 year of experience with enterprise public cloud (Azure/AWS) or private cloud (NSX) platforms
• Hands-on experience with Zscaler and/or Zero-Trust solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with programming or scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Terraform)
• Strong TCP/IP troubleshooting skills and experience with enterprise datacenter operations
• Familiarity with the Purdue PCN modular architecture
• Experience incorporating security into network designs and leading technology pilots
