Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies across data centers, offices, and edge environments.
• Operate and maintain network security appliances including Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper platforms.
• Build and manage security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools to drive operational efficiency.
• Support security operations through monitoring, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Evaluate security advisories and provide timely recommendations and mitigations.
• Research industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance the enterprise security posture.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Proficiency with platforms such as Cisco ASA/FTD, FortiGate, or Juniper SRX.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing, switching, and ACLs.
• Experience with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and encryption.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an IT-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation and DevOps tools such as Python, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, or Jenkins.
• Knowledge of cloud network security services within AWS and Azure.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, or GIAC.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work effectively within a global virtual team.
