Network Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage network security technologies across data centers, offices, and edge environments.
• Operate and maintain network security appliances including Fortinet, Cisco, and Juniper platforms.
• Build and manage network security infrastructure using DevOps practices and automation tools to drive operational efficiency.
• Support security operations through monitoring, analysis, incident response, and vulnerability management.
• Evaluate security advisories and provide timely recommendations and mitigations.
• Research and recommend industry best practices and emerging technologies in network security.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in network security.
• Experience with platforms such as Cisco ASA (CSM), FTD (FMC), FortiGate (FortiManager), or Juniper SRX (Junos Space).
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, OSI model, routing/switching, and ACLs.
• Proficiency with security technologies such as firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, encryption, and authentication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an IT-related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with automation and DevOps tools such as GitHub, Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and REST APIs.
• Experience with AWS or Azure network security services.
• Relevant industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, CISSP, or GIAC.
