Network Operator, Data Center Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site Tier 3 escalation point for network and structured-cabling incidents
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve physical-layer faults to minimize impact on customer workloads
• Act as the escalation path for Tier 1 and 2 technicians
• Own structured cabling and fiber infrastructure and interpret device-level diagnostics
• Escalate out-of-scope issues to Network Operations with clear documentation

Requirements

• Experience as an on-site network or cable-plant specialist in a data center
• Deep knowledge of structured cabling and fiber (testing, termination, fault isolation)
• Proficiency in network fundamentals including TCP/IP, switching, and optics
• Ability to operate as the sole on-site escalation resource
• Rigorous documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with high-density AI or hyperscale fabrics
• Fiber certification (BICSI, Fluke)
• Experience with optical transport
• Knowledge of InfiniBand or high-speed Ethernet
