Network Operations Engineer II

Responsibilities

• Assist with global production content delivery network (CDN) deployments
• Participate in production and corporate network and internet peering strategies
• Manage day-to-day activities involving multiple vendor servers and various software/hardware issues
• Handle traffic queries and issues raised by ISPs and partners
• Support the team in handling switches for incidents such as input errors, CRC, and RMA
• Work directly with ISPs and vendors to resolve network-related issues
• Participate in 24/7 global support rotations, which may include weekend work

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) and 2 to 5 years of related experience or training
• Strong understanding of fiber-optic technology, including cable, connector, and optic types
• Ability to perform root cause analysis for network and server outages
• Programming and scripting capabilities
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with service providers, colocation facilities, and ISPs worldwide
• Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a multi-vendor network environment
• Relevant network certifications
• Server-level certifications
