Network Field Technician

Responsibilities

• Deploy new hardware including servers, storage, and networking equipment
• Perform physical repairs and upgrades on existing infrastructure
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to hardware and connectivity
• Execute network maintenance tasks such as cabling and port testing
• Decommission and recycle outdated equipment according to company policy
• Maintain accurate asset tracking and configuration records
• Collaborate with technical teams for hardware replacements
• Adhere to all safety, security, and operational procedures

Requirements

• Technical diploma or certification in electronics, IT hardware, or a related field
• Experience in data centre or IT hardware environments preferred
• Basic to intermediate computer skills and familiarity with network components
• Ability to follow instructions in English
• Willingness to travel locally between data centre sites
• Ability to lift and maneuver equipment up to 50-100 pounds
• Dexterity to manage small and complex components
• Ability to work in environments with elevated temperatures and noise levels
