Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Define configuration and architecture standards and qualify new platforms
• Provision network devices and manage corporate circuits across offices and POPs
• Improve configuration standards, operational procedures, and device monitoring
• Liaise with third parties, IT, and remote users to resolve issues
• Create and execute scheduled changes with thorough process and documentation
• Participate in on-call rotation and maintain existing systems with firmware updates
• Monitor network performance, ensure availability and reliability, and troubleshoot hardware and software problems

Requirements

• Basic understanding of BGP configuration and management
• Basic knowledge of backbone and datacenter networks
• Working understanding of wireless technologies and corporate networking
• Working knowledge of at least one internal routing protocol and TCP/IP
• Working knowledge of remote access solutions
• Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with networking vendors such as Juniper, Cisco, Aruba, and Arista
• Experience with remote access, network security, and NAC
• Scripting and automation of network operations activities
