About the role
Responsibilities
- Review detailed network designs and configurations to ensure architectural consistency and optimization.
- Create and maintain system-level baseline documentation, including block diagrams, Simple Network Diagrams (SND), and Detailed Network Diagrams (DND).
- Implement network and operating system Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure network aspects.
- Provide engineering expertise and troubleshooting to restore reliability to networks and associated systems.
- Assist in providing IATT and ATO packages for lab environments.
- Collaborate with IT staff on infrastructure activities and support customer briefings and design reviews.
- Travel up to 25% to 35% to other sites as required.
Requirements
- Current Top Secret security clearance.
- US Citizenship is required.
- 7+ years of experience configuring, installing, and maintaining network hardware and software (Cisco, Ruckus/Brocade, Juniper, etc.).
- 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN system administration, network security, and configuration management.
- Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent (e.g., JNCIA, Network+).
- Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Cisco CCNP certification or higher.
- Familiarity with DoD DISN network infrastructure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
- Extensive experience with IPSEC, VPN, QoS, Multicast, OCSP, BGP, and L2TP.
- Familiarity with Linux (RHEL).
