About the role

Responsibilities

  • Review detailed network designs and configurations to ensure architectural consistency and optimization.
  • Create and maintain system-level baseline documentation, including block diagrams, Simple Network Diagrams (SND), and Detailed Network Diagrams (DND).
  • Implement network and operating system Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure network aspects.
  • Provide engineering expertise and troubleshooting to restore reliability to networks and associated systems.
  • Assist in providing IATT and ATO packages for lab environments.
  • Collaborate with IT staff on infrastructure activities and support customer briefings and design reviews.
  • Travel up to 25% to 35% to other sites as required.

Requirements

  • Current Top Secret security clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • 7+ years of experience configuring, installing, and maintaining network hardware and software (Cisco, Ruckus/Brocade, Juniper, etc.).
  • 5+ years of experience in LAN/WAN system administration, network security, and configuration management.
  • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent (e.g., JNCIA, Network+).
  • Ability to move/lift up to 50 lbs and flexibility to work occasional weekends or holidays.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cisco CCNP certification or higher.
  • Familiarity with DoD DISN network infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Visio.
  • Extensive experience with IPSEC, VPN, QoS, Multicast, OCSP, BGP, and L2TP.
  • Familiarity with Linux (RHEL).
