About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable IPv4 network architectures and infrastructure to support mission-critical requirements.
- Configure and maintain network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and TACLANEs using industry-standard protocols.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network services and applications on Linux-based systems.
- Monitor system performance and lead troubleshooting efforts across local and external sites.
- Apply DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies to the design and maintenance of communications solutions.
- Produce technical documentation for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operator usage.
- Support Agile workflows using tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Provide onsite support in a classified environment.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required; must have the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of related experience (additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
- Proven experience configuring and troubleshooting complex network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems in a networked environment.
- IAT Level I certification (Security+ and relevant OS/CE certification).
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including OCONUS travel requiring a valid U.S. passport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cloud-connected or remote-site communications architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile engineering environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in customer-facing communication roles.
- Experience maintaining engineering toolkits for diagnostics and testing.
