About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable IPv4 network architectures, including subnetting and address allocation.
- Configure and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls using industry-standard protocols.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network services and applications on Linux-based systems.
- Monitor systems to improve network performance and lead troubleshooting efforts across local and external sites.
- Apply DoD Information Assurance (IA) policies to the design and maintenance of communications solutions.
- Produce technical documentation for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operator usage.
- Support Agile workflows using tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitLab.
- Provide onsite support within a classified environment.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance is required, with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI Poly.
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience with IPv4 addressing, subnetting, and routing.
- Experience configuring and troubleshooting complex network equipment (e.g., TACLANEs, firewalls, routers, switches).
- Proficiency in administering and troubleshooting Linux-based systems.
- IAT Level I certification (Security+ and relevant OS/CE certification).
- Ability to travel up to 25%, including potential OCONUS travel requiring a valid U.S. passport.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting cloud-connected or remote-site communications architectures.
- Familiarity with Agile engineering environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience in customer-facing roles.
- Experience maintaining engineering toolkits for diagnostics and testing.
