Network Engineer, Operations & Support

Responsibilities

• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert in operations management, focusing on reliability, business process engineering, and AI-powered automation.
• Formulate and evolve key metrics to drive quality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timeliness across the infrastructure.
• Develop and implement process improvement plans, including writing and reviewing code to create scalable, automated workflows.
• Perform deep-dive investigations into complex technical issues, business process defects, and network troubleshooting.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts, including conducting detailed after-action reviews.
• Build cross-functional relationships with internal and external partners, including vendors and stakeholders, to manage coordination and compliance.
• Support real-world production challenges to improve future generation coordination products and business processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in network operations or operations leadership within large-scale, heterogeneous network environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher) or a related certification.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or a related certification.
• Proven experience with networking protocols including BGP/OSPF, TCP/IP, and IPv6.
• Experience implementing and maintaining monitoring, alerting, and repair systems in a DevOps environment.
• Experience working within global, cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Python coding and integrating AI tools to optimize workflows.
• Familiarity with creating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Methods of Procedure (MOPs).
• Knowledge of physical infrastructure design, including rack elevations, cabling, and power/cooling.
• Advanced degree (M.S.) in Computer Science, IT, or Operations leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to apply data-driven analysis to a full project lifecycle.
