Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and support global network infrastructure optimized for low-latency proprietary trading applications.
• Support and troubleshoot hybrid wireless and wired high-performance network environments.
• Use an automated, data-driven approach to diagnose complex issues such as micro-bursting, jitter, and queuing.
• Implement a "DevOps" approach to improve the efficiency of network management, deployment, and maintenance.
• Project manage global network initiatives from requirements gathering and design review through to implementation and documentation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional networking experience.
• 1+ year of scripting experience, preferably with Python, and expertise with GIT, REST, or JSON.
• Advanced knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, Switching, Routing (BGP, OSPF), and Multicast (IGMP, PIM).
• Experience with hardware platforms such as Cisco, Mellanox, or Arista.
• Proficiency with automation tools like Ansible and strong Linux Shell skills.
• Experience with databases and big data tools (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Splunk, InfluxDB, Grafana).
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Information Technology.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCIE certification or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Icinga, Splunk, or Kapacitor.
• Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
