Network Engineer

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement network enhancements following corporate standards
• Work on network planning, configuration, and optimization projects
• Provide tier support across organizations, including on-call duties
• Act as a project team member or occasional team lead
• Adhere to industry-specific local, state, and federal regulations

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 0-2 years of data network experience
• Basic knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, and physical media (Fiber, UTP)
• Understanding of bridging, switching, routing, Ethernet, and transport protocols
• Knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI Model
• Proficiency with network design software like Visio
• Ability to work in a fast-paced 24x7 network operations environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification
• Vendor-specific training in Cisco, Juniper, or Alcatel-Lucent
